I had a post up here earlier on the John Edwards story. The first version had the erroneous reports about how he was going to announce at his press conference that he would not run. But as soon as he held the press conference, I revised it — but also left my original in with our earlier report that reported the mistaken posts. I also noted that our earlier quickie analysis of why you could assume he would not run was wrong. I also linked to The Politico apology.
Well, that post has VANISHED. And if you read this site, you know that I don’t cover up errors but run the correct info afterwards. That was also our main post for the day on his press conference.
I have not yet found out what happened but in response to your emails: NO I did NOT pull my post. And I don’t know how it vanished. But I will try to find out why.
So: we regret it if you linked to that post or took the time to comment on it. It was either pulled or mistakenly deleted…but not by me. This will not happen again.
UPDATE: Polimom was nice enough to post her GREAT post above. And in the meantime? If you scroll down you’ll see the post HAS REAPPEARED. I have no idea how and why it vanished or how and why it reappeared. But those who’ve emailed me, if you scroll down you’ll see it.
