You Tube has spawned a virtual cottage industry in an host of screamingly funny, often profane, and almost always politically incorrect series of spoofs using from the footage from the superb German, award winning film “Downfall” in which German dictator Adolph Hitler goes bananas after getting bad news in his bunker. You guessed it: the real subtitles are omitted and new ones are inserted.
We’ve run several of those here before (with a warning about adult language). And here are the two latest. Once again: WARNING: Some adult language and political incorrect comments so click at your own risk.
First, he gets the news about Michael Jackson’s death.

Second, he gets the news about Sarah Palin resigning as Governor of Alaska.
Note — to short-circuit the inevitable comments that will take this out of context — there is a HUGE list of parodies using scenes from this film and they are done by people on the right, left and center. HERE is the link to explore them yourself. Be ready to laugh out loud — and to often feel thoroughly guilty about it..
These two are just the latest — keeping up what is a You Tube mania that shows no signs of abating. (h/T on these two to Gawker.)
UPDATE: In response to an email, my favorite “Downfall” spoof scene is not political. It’s the one where Hitler has Vista problems. A work of sheer genius:
