While we’re still digging out from under the flostsam and jetsam of the ABC interview with Sarah Palin, we continue to be reminded that there will be no “cone of silence” and the Alaska Governor will be doing more interviews. Next up? (And the only one scheduled thus far which I’ve been able to find, even with the Sunday shows coming up tomorrow.) Sean Hannity.
The Sarah Palin media roll-out continues. After doing two days of interviews with ABC’s Charles Gibson this week, the Alaska governor will sit down with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
Well, an interview is an interview, after all. But just to give us a preview of what we might be able to expect in terms of “fair and balanced” reporting, hard hitting questions, and getting the information out there which voters crave, I thought we might take a quick look at Sean’s unbiased approach to politics. Fortunately for us, my friend Ed Morrissey has been spending some time this week out at the Family Reseach Council’s Values Voter Summit, and guess who stopped by to “energize” the crowd? None other than Mr. Hannity himself. I’ll just share with you a handful of the highlights from the brave journalist who will next fill the void of information on all things Palin, but be sure to click through for the full treat.
[Hannity] brought his sarcasm and humor in an opening attack on Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, James Carville, Paul Begala, and liberals in general that fired up the crowd. He belittled Obama’s pretenses of secular messianism and called him Barack “Apollo” Obama, a reference to the Greek facade of his acceptance speech.
Hannity especially hammered home the point that 130 “present” votes in the state Senate does not show a man willing to accept responsibility even as a legislator, let alone as an executive.
Hannity went on in a similar vein regarding feminists and Obama campaign oppo researchers. The entire speech was by far the biggest stemwinder of the conference, and it fired up the crowd. He derided the snobbery of the media, feminists, and liberals over Palin’s nomination.
Yes indeed… this is the next (and currently only other) interview that Sarah Palin will offer up as the public considers her for the second highest office in the land. Let’s give everyone a chance here, and see if you can peer into your crystal ball. Try to guess some of the insightful, hard hitting questions that Mr. Hannity will be asking during this historic window of opportunity. I’ll try to get you started, but if you come up with any really excellent offerings, we’ll add them in here.
Governor, recently Senator Obama called you a pig… I believe the exact quote was “big fat pig.” What do you think it is that makes him such a big doodyhead? Is it just because he’s a Muslim or do you think there’s something deeper and more sinister going on there?
Democrats are really dumb, aren’t they? But how do you account for the fact that a few people may still vote for Obama before you take office? Do we just have dumb Americans out there?
Governor, during your harrowing trips through the battle zones of Iraq to visit our brave troops, you must have shown incredible courage. Where does that come from? Is it just the historic nature of your tough, independent upbringing on the frontier?
We all know you never requested or took any pork for your state, sold your jet on e-bay and always opposed the Bridge to Nowhere, but that has many viewers wondering… how did somebody as gosh darned pretty as you wind up being so smart, brave and highly qualified all at the same time?
