Did the ‘change’ promised by Barack Obama include the ouster of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and ‘all Bush collaborators’ in the other Arab nation President Bush chose to invade, like Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki?
That seems to be what at least some Iraqis think, based on this op-ed article by Fawaz al-Ajami of the Iraqi News Agency.
Al-Ajami writes in part:
“If a news item reported by Britain’s The Independent is true, that America’s new President Barack Obama supports the ‘ouster’ of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, it would confirm that the winds of change he promised during his campaign have begun to blow across the world. But this time, it will be change for the better, unlike that pursued by former President George Bush, who with aggression and invasion, seeded the world with terrorism while relying on a group of traitorous collaborators like Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan, and Nouri al-Maliki, Ahmed Chalabi, al-Hakim in Iraq, and others who came atop American tanks.”
“The change that we hope to see in America, the Arab World and the world at large, requires the removal of all of those like Karzai who were planted by Bush and their replacement with only the world’s most noble. … Traitors and collaborators not only destroy themselves but their masters as well.”

But this time, it will be change for the better, unlike that pursued by former President George Bush, who with aggression and invasions, seeded the world with terrorism while relying on a group of traitorous collaborators like Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan, Nouri al-Maliki, Ahmed Chalabi , al-Hakim in Iraq, and others who came atop American tanks. Many Karzais emerged on the political scene, shamelessly proclaiming their collaboration with the American intelligence services – among them former Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi , who said that he took pride in this collaboration!!
