Nobody could read Dan Riehl's hateful screed and compare it to Swift's “A Modest Proposal”. Riehl ranted and raved and raged against Senator Reid's daughter and wife even as Reid's wife was fighting for her life. Riehl used crude language and the full range of propaganda Hate Speech we find in things like “The Jew Suess”. Jonathan Swift used exalted and pompously pious language to reach his awful conclusion.

Riehl used gutter speech and the ugliest imaginations of Mrs. Reid's suffering. Riehl luxuriated in reducing Mrs. Reid to the kind of object we see in “The Jew Suess”. Riehl published Hate Speech. I believe Riehl has the right to do so and his many passionate fans have the right to delight in every ounce of suffering they can wring out of Senator Reid, his wife and his daughter as their revenge on “liberals”. But make no error here: Riehl is indecent, pornographic, and violent. He is NOT satirical.

It is not surprising that Charles Johnson has had to abandon the Right Wing Blogosphere. It is a place of great hate, and a pitch-filled miasma, and as The Bible reminds us, 'Pitch Defileth'.

There have been three defenses of Riehl's putrid and cowardly attack on and his taking such delight in the suffering that Mrs. Reid has suffered along with her daughter, and that the daughter and Senator Reid and Mrs. Reid have had to put up with knowing someone takes so much pleasure in watching the Reid's agony:

First, Dan Riehl is said to be an outlier nobody has heard of. Untrue. Riehl is a frequent presence on Memeoradum and gets tremendous traffic from this Mainstream Aggregator.

Second, Riehl may be a cruel and callous man, some argue but he is not as bad as MSNBC or the people who carried signs calling Bush a Nazi. This argument is a change of subject. Riehl's actions stand on their own. Riehl's Hate Speech is an indictment of everyone who refuses to denounce it.

Third, there are quite a few Right Wing Bloggers who say that the Right needs more of this kind of blogging, more of this kind of attack, and that Senator Reid, his wife and his daughter are getting what they deserve because the Democrats are not Pro-life, so any suffering the Democrats do is good for America, hilarious, and appropriate.

There is a wide-spread belief on the Right that Democratic readers and liberals in general are whiners who cannot get the great joke of seeing Mrs. Reid suffer because they are too PC.

Moderates and people of good will should think about what the events we are seeing mean. Texas has committed its schools to teaching a GOP and Christ-centered American History. Straight Propaganda where teachers will not be allowed to mention the Wall of Separation between the State and Christianity. And Hate Merchants like Dan Riehl commit acts of straight Propaganda stripping the Reid's of humanity because they dared to be in favor of legalized abortion.

I hope moderates and all Americans see who is really on the Right. Yes, there are the Jazz Shaw's. But the real GOP, the one that defends itself and is embittered and at war with liberals and progressives is out there and the moderate GOP will not censure them.

Why? I guess because the non-rabid GOP does not want that mob loosed on them, and, besides, MSNBC they say is worse.

It makes me very sad for this once great nation to see people throw away decency and manners in polity just to show how tough and heartless the Right Wing is.

Here is a link to Riehls's recent piece which continues to drive LGF away from the rapid Right.

Isn't It Time To Euthanize Reid's Wife?

I'm not sure I quite understand this, given that cost is so important as a burden to taxpayers when it comes to health care. If Democrats want so badly to abort babies because of it, why are we bothering with someone who has a broken neck and back at 69? It sounds to me like she's pretty well used up and has probably been living off the taxpayers for plenty of years to begin with. Aren't we at least going to get a vote on it?

Mr. Riehl's “wit” does not get better with age, and his impotent, frustrated, and bitter readers who cheer him on make the whole enterprise seem so demagogic and really aimed at bringing some type of bully boy fascism here to America along with an inane Civil War over whether everyone deserves Health Care Insurance.

Mr. Riehl and way too many so-called “conservative” tough guys luxuriate in violent and shocking language.
