If you need something to be thankful for, then be thankful for Joe Gandelman and his blog The Moderate Voice.
No, Joe did not pay me to write that, but I would not object to him doing so.
Anyway, you should be thankful for this blog if you are getting something positive out of it.
You should be thankful even if you read something here that you disagree with.
Why? Because everything published by The Moderate Voice is an exercise of freedoms of speech and press.
Those freedoms do not exist everywhere in the world.
Granted, as the owner of this blog, Joe has final say on what is published on it.
Yet, Joe has not allowed The Moderate Voice to be an echo chamber for a particular set of political beliefs.
Yes, the writers on this blog are free to support the Republican Party

the Democratic Party

the Libertarian Party

and the Green Party.

Joe Gandelman even allows writers to blog about topics that have NOTHING to do with politics.

Yes, diversity is a good thing to have . . . unless you work for the company that Dilbert works for. Once, Wally was in a meeting with H.R. director Catbert, when Wally asked, “Whatever happened to diversity?” Catbert replied, “Da longer you vork here, da vorse it gets.”
By the way, it is a bad sign when you see Catbert grinning.
Click on the image of Catbert to learn just how evil he is.
Thankfully, such evil isn’t a feature of The Moderate Voice. Joe doesn’t pay well enough for Catbert to join this blog.

The “Wanted” posters say the following about David: “Wanted: A refugee from planet Melmac masquerading as a human. Loves cats. If seen, contact the Alien Task Force.”
