At the risk of making a bad joke it is fair to say that both parties will be gambling on a win in the Silver State this November.
President: Both McCain and Obama are expected to spend a lot of time in Nevada, a state that has been moving from the GOP to a swing state. It voted twice for Clinton and twice for Bush but has generally voted Republican for President.
Recent polls show a very close contest but for the moment I am giving McCain a slight edge (in my opinion that is).

House: Democrats will hold the 1st and the GOP will hang on to the 2nd with little trouble.
In the 3rd district we have incumbent John Porter (R) seeking re-election. He had a close race in 2006 but did survive the Democratic sweep. Democrats have tapped 2006 gubernatorial nominee and state Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus.
