Sometimes, you wish you could sort of grind them all up like sausage taking the best of each and come out with one more diverse and solid person. And, it does not surprise that a proven family man overtakes a man who has family and many wives. How ironic that Mormons used to enact polygamy mainstream, and no longer except for the likes of felon Warren Jeffs, master child molester in his renegade group of so-called fundie Mormons (Jeffs says.)… and yet we have Newt with his ‘many wives,’ even more than Abraham the patriarch. [Not that many other good souls havent also been much married in advised or ill-advised ” fever[s] hotter than a pepper sprout” too.]

Politics is not strange, but some of the people who run are. I mean this all mostly tongue in cheek. I see that primaries are incessant and taking place like football games, weekly for years on end before the ‘superbowl.’ I’m reminded of the Romans who said give them circus and pleasure and the populace will never know what hit them.

My only serious comment is, whilst being drawn into poochy old guys staggering about having others lift their clubs and batons for them for they are too weak to do so themselves for their strength has deteriorated only to throwing hissy fits, and though they are doing faux warfare in the arena, it’s better for the populace to take this as warning to stay awake to what is going on behind the populace’s back.

When a person like Newt wants to make it about himself rather than about us, the people, ALL the people… that is no contender. Being a contender and being unarrestingly and boringly contentious in order to draw attention to oneself are two different things. A real warrior is a contender. Steady. Leaderly. Thought out. Speaking not mainly or only to the fractions and fractious, but to the strongest and most reasoned. There’s a constituency that can drive to the win.
