Update via MSNBC email – AP source: Obama chooses Gen. David Petraeus to replace McChrystal as top Afghan commander.

According to MSNBC TV, Gen. McChrystal has been relieved of command.

Obama to relieve McChrystal of command. Sources tell NBC News that the president has decided to replace him.
