I was out of town the past few days and got to see some of the hyped coverage (on her behalf) of her hearings by Clearly Not Neutral (complete with showing Dems in full, interrupting the GOP people for more important things like the latest statement by anybody about Michael Jackson).

I noticed the more logical and intelligent remarks by those Republicans who actually were shown, while the Dems were blatantly political as well as engaging in misconduct insofar as they defended judicial activism, making overt typically-emotional appeals to dimmer Dems, and so on. Yeech.

I did got to see and confirm that Al Franken isn't just a comedian and one of the scummier farther-left political agitators and commentators, but an actor, too, playing a left Dem Senator role very well. He even boldly presented a judicially activist argument to Sotomayor (sadly, being rebutted by her, for she is acting as a "born-again jurist" and anti-activist during this hearing, a bulletproof performance that likely is earning her an easy confirmation -- may she practice what she is currently preaching!). Franken actually wanted Sotomayor to appreciate an argument (twisting the Constitution like wringing a wet rag) that the First Amendment's "freedom of expression" (of political expression, especially to criticize idiotic and harmful lib-Dem federal officials like Franken) conveys to all a "right" [sic] to Internet access, even at the expense of the owners and the (true) rights of the owners of privately-owned telecommunications infrastructure and Internet services that they provide.

Heh. Where's Biden -- Sotomayor's clean, she speaks English, and acts like one of the guys! Vote yes!
