BREAKING: Wilson Ramos Rescued, Safe in Venezuela

Both ABC News and the Washington Post are reporting that kidnapped Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos has been found alive and well in Venezuela.

According to the Washington Post:

Wilson Ramos has been rescued in Venezuela and is with the police on his way back home, his agent, Gustavo Mercano, said in a phone conversation. The Interior Minster called to tell the family at roughly 10 minutes before 10 p.m. East Coast time.

According to ABC NEWS (citing the Post):

Ramos was with police this evening, has called his family and was on his way home… He gained his freedom in the mountains of Montalban in the state of Carabobo in central Venezuela…The full circumstances of Ramos’ recovery after an apparent kidnapping Wednesday were not immediately available.

One Response to “BREAKING: Wilson Ramos Rescued, Safe in Venezuela”

  1. Praise the Lord! That’s the best news a family could receive under these terrible circumstances.

But ain’t it odd that neither ABC nor the WaPo blog bothered to mention that Venezuela is state sponsor of (FARC) terrorism, is rife with this type of lawlessness, and lorded over by Castro’s Mini-Me: Dictator Hugo Chavez?

On second thought, maybe it’s not that odd.

Glad you’re safe at home, Mr. Ramos.
