Talk Left’s Jeralyn Merrit did the segment on blogs on MSNBC’s Connected yesterday. The focus was on journalists protecting sources and the move by some blogs to declare themselves on-line magazines. During the segment this site is mentioned. Watch the VIDEO HERE.
A word on this rush for blogs to declare themselves online magazines.
We REFUSE to leap on the bandwagon and say “me, too” on this issue and declare ourselves an online magazine. We would NOT be so cutesy and crass.
However, since the FEC has nothing better to do than to ponder whether they need to regulate bloggers and such dangerous posts as Carnival of the Recipies, we are doing THE FOLLOWING EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
- TMV is not a blog because it actually doesn’t say it is a blog if you read our templates.
- We will NOT declare ourselves an online magazine.
- We ARE declaring The Moderate Voice an 11th Commandment handed down by you-know-who. All mortals on this earth are required to READ it, turn its opinions into their own. Each morning every person on this earth shall drop to their knees, clasp their hands, look up to the Heavens and say: “Thank God for our 11th Commandment The Moderate Voice.I am so lucky to be alive at a time in this earth’s history when the wisdom of the Moderate Voice is available for me to absorb — and for free.”
On that score, we are also declaring this website the OFFICIAL WISHING WELL OF THE INTERNET.
Make a wish. Then use our tipjar to make an offering of $20 to $50 or more and see what happens in your life. If you don’t get your wish, TMV will get his and you should therefore be joyful.
