This is only the beginning. In a year, this fraud & con artist will be the most disliked man in America. Incompetence, lies, a far-left agenda, it can't be covered up forever by a fawning media. Some event, some disaster, something, will precipitate a tipping point & his popularity will plummet. People will come to realize what a mistake they made voting for this creep.

    Dear Chicago Trance:

The disappoint from the point of view of a progressive is more his center right agenda. It's a laugh to hear folks like you speak of his agenda as left. The whole entire political spectrum has shifted so far to the right over the last 20 years, that what you describe as left is really center.

If people are getting disappointed it has to do with his not respecting his campaign promises to get us out of Iraq, greater transparency, health care not run by corporations, and the environmental issues.

I have no idea what media you watch, but all major media are corporate and represent their interests, which by the way are Repuplican issues, Conservative issues.

Would the American public have preferred McCain? He would be in even deeper trouble……….
Name me one Republican who could win? Palin? Please………….

  3. chicagotrance says:

Did I say I was a Republican? McCain was a poor candidate who ran a poor campaign. Bush was not exactly my idea of a conservative either although some might call him a ''moderate social conservative'' with some accuracy. But Obama and for that matter Clinton? You have to be really partisan & not very objective or else completely uninformed to not see these two opportunists as incompetent to lead this country. The country has indeed moved to the right & most Americans consider themselves to be conservative. This, however, does not make Obama in any way a centrist. So far, Obama has shown himself to be a bungler, a serial bungler at that. The issue is one of competence.

  4. Silhouette says:

All politicians are opportunists. That doesn't define their “incompentancy”. By your definition all elected leaders are incompetant to run this country. There has been no perfect leader ever. At least Obama cares about the nation he leads and their rights as guaranteed in the Constitution as well as his own opportunity and luxuries in his current seat of power. Which one of us wouldn't enjoy that position?

The most severe form of incompetance in any US leadership is a person who seeks to undermine the Constitution and doesn't care about the rights of those s/he governs as long as money is made.

    Right Mr. Cheney?

  5. Father_Time says:

Our President is doing the best he can and the onus is on CONGRESS to provide bills that address OUR PROBLEMS. Most of which have been created by the George W. Bush, the Republican Party and their brain dead political ideology….but…

Why waste the effort bashing republicans since they have been effectively sidelined by the voting public. This is an intra party debate between mainstream and “blue dog” Democrats.

Republicans only want to “appear” that they can stop the president but in reality they can't put enough votes on paper to wipe a hamster's butt. So write your Democrat Congressmen and just send the usual condemning emails to repubs.

  6. spirasol says:

Moderate conservative: Bush???? Most folks I know would call Bush a Radical right wing neocon republican. Who else would mess with our constitution our bill of rights………a conservative? war based on lies, torture, spy more than we even to date know. I dont' think so.

To quote you “One has to be really partisan & not very objective or else completely uninformed to not see” that the progressive agenda the majority of Americans want is being mitigated by the Repubs and the Blue dog dems. A weak Obama unwilling to stand up and lead instead of looking for consensus…….is the problem.

“Most Americans consider themselves to be conservative” not in my neck of the woods, and what's more outside my neighborhood, most folks I talk to are not conservative. I respectfully and vehemently disagree. Our Democracy is being taken over …………….we are actually an oligarchy…………..nearly facist………I can only say WAKE UP ………….with my mule and my Paul Revere hat on I make the rounds.

Oh, the honeymoon is over, though there is still a Herd that flocks (or is herded to) his campaign appearances on behalf now of health care. Obama's stupid remark about the Cambridge, MA police didn't help, either.

In Obama's case, there is plenty of blame that can be assigned to other Dems instead, for the Dems in Congress have at times outdone the Obama administration in stupidly rushing to enact destructive, poorly-thought legislation, which includes the current health care lunacy. (Why didn't they just try, claiming it to be a stimulative or relief measure, to incorporate Medicaid into Medicare first, or try extending Medicare to all children in the USA, a classic strategic move as well as Dem appeal to emotion, that makes much more sense than what we're seeing instead? Why weren't cost issues addressed fully, up front?) The Dems in Congress and even other members of the administration than Obama himself can be used to deflect criticism of Obama himself for the failures we are seeing and the substantial lunge leftward without forethought.

It is interesting to see the liberal left-wing socialist perform verbal acrobatics to explain the complete disaster Omammy is creating. This man is an angry anti-american racist. He will be out on the street in 4 years with a tin cup begging for a dime like O.J. with all the other marxist democrat congress.
