Injustice, or the perception of injustice?
Several studies indicate that we will willingly redefine innocent victims into blameworthy parties so as to make an unjust situation seem justified. In my view, this explains (among other things) both how Lebanese civilians are lumped in as terrorists, and this is how the Israeli nation is seen as the aggressor for responding to unprovoked attacks on its northern and southern borders.
[Despite that observation, I’d appreciate if comments could stay away from the I/L conflict this time–we’ve battled that one in enough posts so that I think we should avoid subsuming only tangentially -related topics into what is becoming a commenters’ Leviathan]
