I thought the point of advertising was to encourage us to buy a product rather than to offend us such that we not only don’t buy the product but also look it up and advise others to avoid it. I was just driving home from an event and listening to the last few minutes of an NFL game on the radio. Suddenly, listeners were encouraged to buy Red Zone Body Wash which will supposedly make male humans smell better and help them “score” with their girlfriends. I thought this kind of advertising went out a couple of decades back. Oh well! Having looked it up, I see that it is made by a major local company.
