My father died 12 years ago and my mother 18 months ago and they had pre-payed and pre-arranged their final arrangements. Since my father was a WWII veteran both he and my mother were eligible to be interned at the local Veteran’s Cemetery. This gave my sister and I one less thing to worry about when they passed away. I recently turned 68 and began to think about my own mortality. Since I’m a Vietnam era veteran I too am eligible to be interned at the local Veteran’s Cemetery. A couple of weeks ago I pre-payed and pre-arranged my own final arrangements so my sister will not have to worry about it. I also have supplied my sister with a list of people to be notified, and yes that includes you Joe. My sister is already a co account holder on my checking and savings account as well as my multiple CDs. It’s difficult enough to lose a loved one so you should make it as easy for them as you can while you still can.
