YOU GONNA HAVE TACO TRUCKS EVERY CORNER
I met her at the taco truck
when there was only one,
but soon because love bloomed
there was soon another one.
Another taco truck, that is.
A beautiful young woman,
that is.
We met them at the taco trucks
for sure las señoritas were for me,
but before I could turn around,
suddenly there were three!
Taco trucks, that is.
Beautiful young women,
that is.
And soon those taco trucks
were having babies left and right
and before la luna set,
there was a terrible blight…
of taco trucks, that is.
But not of beautiful young women,
that is.
Then there came a time on Mother Earth
that never was before,
That taco trucks were everywhere,
even going door to door…
Taco trucks everywhere spaces took,
the young and old eating tacos
everywhere you looked!
Oh give me the days
When you had to go for a long walk
to find just one lonely taco truck
instead of by taco trucks being stalked.
I remember a time my children, long ago,
when we were land of brave and taco truck free,
but now there’s TacoDonalds, Chica-la-filet,
which are just disguised taco trucks on a spree.
When Im dead, bury me facing the open sea
but please let it not be my luck
to wake up in a heaven
run by angels driving taco trucks.
REFRAIN:
I met her at the taco truck
when there was only one,
but soon because love bloomed
there was soon another one.
Another taco truck, that is.
A beautiful young woman,
that is.
Then there came a time on Mother Earth
that never was before,
That taco trucks were everywhere,
even going door to door…
Taco trucks everywhere the land overtook,
leaving the young and old eating tacos
everywhere you looked!
CODA
To try to be fair, the Latino gentleman who is a Trump supporter/surrogate who said on cable tv yesterday regarding the border and people trying to come to the USA… “My culture is a very dominant culture… you gotta do something [or]… you gonna have taco trucks every corner’… actually he was being Mexicano puro, in metaphor, and also, English was not his first language. And, also, amongst vatos, this was a mild thing to say, in place of unleashing a cussing blue streak in Spanish that could blister the paint off the walls.
