Who is responsible for Monday’s devastating attack on members of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard? According to Iran and others, the U.S. and Britain are responsible, since they back the Sunni group that has claimed responsibility and is fighting for an independent Baluchestan.
But this article from Kuwait’s Al Seyassah charges that the Iranians themselves are responsible for the attack, for practicing state-terror across the globe for decades.
The enmity of Sunni Gulf Arabs for Iran’s Shiite regime is on full display here. For Al Seyassah, Editor in chief Ahmad Al Jarallah offers a detailed exposition of why the Revolutionary Guard was hit. He writes in part:
“Finally the Tehran regime is drinking from the same cup that for so many years it forced other countries to drink from; its evil deeds are rebounding back. The recent bombing that wiped out a group of Revolutionary Guard commanders in the city of Pisheen was the same type of attack implemented by the Guard elsewhere in the world.
No regular observer of the Iran situation is surprised at the scale of the bloody reaction. The current Iranian regime has been built on the skulls of large numbers of its own sons. … Didn’t these leaders of booby traps and sabotage know that when they adopted the ways of state-sponsored terrorism, their witchcraft would rebound against them?”
