Today on Mid Stream Radio, (1:00 PM eastern, 10:00 AM pacific) we’re scheduled to interview prominent astrophysicist author and educator Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. (At the time of this writing, Dr. Tyson’s assistant is working through some scheduling issues, but we still hope to pull this together today.) Either way, during the first half hour we’ll be covering some of the base information regarding the CERN Large Hadron Collider and whether or not the experiment will create a black hole that could destroy the planet. (See our previous coverage for background: Part one, Part Two and Part Three.) And just to give you something to look forward to, we have now scheduled an interview for tomorrow’s show with Dr. Robert Wagner who will be calling in from Hawaii. Dr. Wagner is one of the scientists working to halt the LHC experiements until more of the safety issues can be addressed.
In the second half of the show, we’ll be joined by Liz Mair of the Republican National Committee who will bring us up to date on the state of the campaign as the two parties move forward toward their national conventions. We’ll ask her about Obama’s public fundraising moves, her upcoming Twitter debate with a representative of the Democrats and any other topics which come to mind.
