The issue of Arab angst over Israeli influence in the United States has very clearly spilled over into the issue of Barack Obama’s candidacy for the presidency, as recent Arabic translations on WORLDMEETS.US demonstrate.
This article from Al-Arab Al-Yawm of Jordan – which is a majority Palestinian country – expresses optimism over the emergence of Barack Obama, but also a sense that no matter who becomes President of the United States, that person will remain a tool of the all-powerful ‘Zionist Machine.’
Mohammed Ka’ouch writes for Al-Arab Al-Yawm:
“When the car carrying Senator Barack Obama, a colored man, crosses the street that separates Blair House [the official guest house] from the gates of the White House, all will have to acknowledge that he personifies a deep and monumental change in American society …
But now that he has won the Democratic nomination, Obama will begin his confrontation with John McCain and frantically compete with him to see who loves Israel more, who can give better speeches reflecting affection for the Jews, and which will obligate himself to give the most financial and military aid to the political structure of the Zionist entity. … Obama finds himself an American ‘prisoner of War’ to the Zionist machine that governs the White House and the course of politics in America!”
On a more positive note, Ka’ouch writes of whther Obama will succeed in improving America’s image:
“Even if every American casts their vote for Obama, it will prove difficult to beautify America’s ugly face or improve its image. But far less deranged than the present leader, Obama speaks with abundant eloquence. To succeed, the African-American – the righteous flower of Hussein – will have to use all of his charisma and draw heavily on his faith and the heritage of his Kenyan grandmother!!”

When the car carrying Senator Barack Obama, a colored man, crosses the street that separates Blair House [the official guest house] from the gates of the White House, all will have to acknowledge that he personifies a deep and monumental change in American society …
That sweet and sour Obama, that Christian-Muslim African-American with his progressive beliefs, his psychological convulsions and a constitution resembling a cocktail, has been transformed into an American craze like the “hamburger,” the “blue-jean” and the cable TV movie. Under the banner of change he has borrowed from the persona and political rhetoric of John Kennedy and from the attractiveness and eloquence of Martin Luther King. This has allowed him to make a breakthrough among young White people and succeed in defeating his opponent Hillary Clinton – thereby becoming the Democratic Party candidate. Now he’s preparing to contest the second, more wide-ranging and dangerous battle against Republican John McCain …
The victory in the French presidential elections of the son of Hungarian immigrants, Nicolas Sarkozy, and his arrival at the Elysee Palace, gave Obama, the son of a Kenyan immigrant the impetus to wage the battle to the end, and reinforced his hopes of entering the gates of the White House as the first American president of color, and the first of African descent …
