In it’s true tabloid style — a style accentuated the past year in a series of anti-Trump covers — the New York Daily News put New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s endorsement on the cover, depicting him as someone now associating with the Ku Klux Klan.
The reason? This week former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke endorsed Donald Trump for President. Christie rocked the political world by endorsing Trump, who he had dissed during the campaign as a mere entertainer and whose stands on many issues (for instance in vowing to ban Muslims from entering into the United States). Once again political pundits were wrong, since few saw it coming.
If Christie shed pounds as quickly as he has shed an image of someone who’s quick to shed his onetime principles, he’d be the poster-boy for 24 Hour Fitness Center.
But, then, conservatives, moderates, Muslims, African-Americans and Hispanics know that already.
FOOTNOTE: It’s worth noting here what Huffington Post Editor Arianna Huffington has now has inserted as a tag line under every Huffington Post story on Trump:
Editor’s Note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
