I just received an e-mail containing links to an interesting website. From the e-mail:
I am writing to let US Government and Politics enthusiasts know that MapMuse.com has recently introduced the first of its US Government topics. We have created red and blue coded interactive maps for the following subjects:
1. US House of Representatives
2. US Senators
3. US GovernorsEach elected official’s office is mapped, and the following information is provided: contact information, the year the official was elected to office, a photo, and primary previous experience.
So I checked it out and find it quite, sorry for the more youthful expression, cool.
If you want to check it out for yourself,
go here for the red / blue map for the House
go here for the red / blue map for Senate
go here for the red / blue map for Governors
Click on the maps for more details. When you click on a “D” or “R” a photo of the person will come up with some information about him / her. As Cindy Jett wrote, a nice website for US Government and Politics enthusiasts.
Also interesting: history maps. For instance with “Civil War Battles” map. Click on civil war battles. A map will become visible. Click on the map. Click on one of the big “C’s” for more information about that particular battle.
Very cool, in my opinion at least, thanks to Cindy for informing me about this.
