Another poetic work of art from TMV’s favorite poet, Michael Silverstein, aka Wall Street Poet:
Homeland Security
I have a growing dossier
In Washington, D.C.,
It’s kept updated and refreshed
By Mr. Nobody.
This nameless, faceless bureaucrat
Knows everything ’bout me,
My life’s the game he’s paid to play:
Homeland Security.
He knows the books I like to read
The places where I shop,
The day I started my new job
And when I got the chop.
He knows I take Viagra pills
To boost my potency,
My foibles really crack him up:
Homeland Security.
Of course I know my government
My rights would ne’er abuse,
America ain’t Stasi-ville
With Vopos running loose.
This checking’s just protection
To keep me safe and free,
So why am I so queasy ’bout
Homeland Security?
