Upon reading the following story late last night, I had just one question. However, I feared people would think I was being insensitive to the victims.
Well, I’ve gotten over it, so here’s the question: “Who in their right mind would let a random stranger into their house to do a free breast exam?”
From the Miami Herald:
On Wednesday, Broward sheriff’s deputies arrested Winikoff on charges of sexual battery and simple assault. Winikoff allegedly fondled the breasts of two women and then sexually assaulted them.
[…]
The first victim, a 35-year-old woman, realized Winikoff was not a doctor, and her boyfriend called BSO. While he called authorities, Winikoff was allegedly assaulting a 33-year-old woman a block away.
Winikoff, of Coconut Creek, was arrested nearby. One of his alleged victims said he parked his car in front of her apartment complex. The white-haired Winikoff wore a striped polo shirt and dark pants, one of his alleged victims said.
Okay, a couple more questions…
First, this guy alarmed the first woman, and then went onto another apartment? Second, the first victim’s boyfriend called the cops? Was he there?
Life is indeed stranger than fiction.
ON A RELATED NOTE…
A couple years ago I saw a very funny Canadian PSA about self-breast exams. The premise was that this teenage guy named Cam was offering women his services so they wouldn’t have to go to the trouble. It got banned.
Little did I realize that somebody would actually try it.
