Desperately Seeking Enlightenment in Trump’s Twitter Feed
by Chris Jennewein
What does President Trump actually believe? The answer lies deep in his Twitter feed.
Rick Mulvaney, the new director of the Office of Management and Budget, pointed out last week that the best way to understand Trump is to examine his previous statements.
Mulvaney explained that to draw up the federal budget, his team went “back through the president’s speeches, the interviews he gave, and just talking to him, we tried to identify his priorities.”
So following Mulvaney’s example, Times of San Diego searched Trump’s Twitter feed to determine what he really believes. Here are 10 takeaways, starting with the latest tweet.
