They’re at it again. For those of us who hope that a semblance of fiscal sanity will eventually prevail, let’s also hope the Blue Dogs are a little more unified and forceful this time around than they were on the budget resolution.

With the GOP doing its best to chase moderate office holders out of the party, the blue dogs may be the last hope for a while for sensible politics on close issues.
I'm a moderate Republican, and although I dislike the Obama policies in many areas, particularly the record breaking debt that he is saddling the nation and future generations with, I still can find more hope among the blue dogs than I can among the right-wing of the GOP.
Leonidas — Sounds like you and I are very close to the same spot on the political continuum.
Blue Dogs and Moderate republicans certainly differ on alot of issues, but they can work together, something the right-wing of the GOP and the Left-wing of the Democratic party aren't very good at doing with moderate members of their own respective parties.
