Hahahahahaha. Talk about bringing “efficiency, transparency, and accountability” to Washington.
Obama's choices are now best known for blowing up in his and his administration's face. I suppose the extensive background checks that had been in the news before Obama's inauguration were like his campaign, nearly all style, no substance. They need to know if someone has been politically incorrect and ever owned a gun [gasp!], but they fail to check into things like tax evasion, excuse me, “mistakes”? This, after the other side experienced misfortune with background issues of lesser importance with Quayle, George W. Bush, and Sarah Palin?
And it's ugly, at the same time. These Washington people live far too well, as well as living by different rules than the rest of us must obey.
Somewhat agree here. How the background vetting teams “overlooked” these sure-to-be-Red-Flags is astounding (especially in Daschle's case) Obama's term is not off to a good start . There's just no excuse for this.
