As I survey the headlines for this day — a link which I double dog DARE you to click — I cannot bring myself to any specific conclusions, other than What a weaselly, weaselly way to start the weekend. Arrrrrgh!
Thesis
I can only think of the words of John Maynard Keynes:
The decadent international but individualistic capitalism in the hands of which we found ourselves after the war is not a success. It is not intelligent. It is not beautiful. It is not just. It is not virtuous. And it doesn’t deliver the goods.
Antithesis.
Ah, but what that reminds me of is this, also from Keynes:
Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone. ~ John Maynard Keynes
And, of course, the weaselly weaselly weekend TV sucks. (Going back to the first quote.)
Courage.*
* Any resemblance to Hegelian dialectic is entirely coincidental, as you can plainly see, since I didn’t label the last picture ‘synthesis.’ Only someone who knew about Hegel would have done that. So there.
