Growing Reasoned Criticism of Anita Sarkeesian
The amount of rational, reasoned responses to Anita Sarkeesian’s brand of feminism is growing. This is probably the most detailed and specific and biting so far:
I have some friends contemplating doing a Kickstarter project on toxic and dishonest forms of feminism that infantalize women and demonize men. It should be interesting to see if that comes to life. One thing that’s obvious: whether intentionally or on purpose, Anita Sarkeesian could not have made the situation better for herself if she had tried.
Meanwhile, I note that it’s still totally OK to fire a nobody for saying the words “booth babe” about a celebrity, and women who dissent from Sarkeesian’s views get very ltitle notice except for places like this blog.
Anyway, I recommend watching the above two videos before actually responding to them.

Wow, evidently there’s nothing so terribly threatening to some people as doing a project on sexism in gaming.
I’m all about exploring the topic. I hope to get involved in a project that does just that!
I’m sure you’ll find no shortage of those willing to give money to put these uppity womenfolk in their place. I mean, how dare they talk about oversexualization of women video game characters?
Hahaha, I wouldn’t be involved in any project like that. I embrace open dialogue from multiple points of view, such as explored in these videos I give here, or the ones I gave in this article.
But, knowing how previous discussions have gone, I’ll exit the discussion and allow others to have whatever say they want here. I do again recommend watching the videos to see multiple points of view.
I made it most of the way through the first video. It’s not a rational, reasoned response at all, it’s a hatchet job that attacks Sarkeesian for all sorts of things that have nothing to do with her claims.
You obviously hate men, Dr J.
