Even some of the most ardent birthers, even some of the most seasoned Obama haters, even The Donald, are giving up their crusade against the President, after he released the original, official, genuine, full, long-form, state of Hawaii, U.S. birth certificate.
But not birther queen Orly Taitz.
She appeared before a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in Pasadena, California, yesterday to tell the judges that that the long-form birth certificate released by Obama is “not a true and correct image;” that the certificate “had been doctored;” that it is “very inventive computer art;” that it has been falsified…
Taitz and other birthers are desperately trying to revive an old, frivolous and failed lawsuit that was dismissed in 2009 by U.S. District Judge David Carter.
It is not known when the 9th Circuit Court judges will rule on this latest charade.
What is known, is that the object of these people’s hate and scorn is a natural born U.S. citizen, is the legitimate President of our country and is the man who was finally able to catch and kill the perpetrator of the most heinous attack on Americans, on American soil, in our history.

In my view, this obsession can only be one of two things: Either it is a raw hate that refuses to die, or it is a form of mental illness. In this woman’s case, I suspect the latter.
I think that “raw hate” is a form of mental illness so in her case it is both.

Jeez, you people miss the point she and her ilk stay at the party too long. By now, they should have shifted to a new issue: schooler, or deather (thanks DLS). (You have to know when to fold them and hold them.)
Anyone seen any polls between the release of the cert and the announcement of the OBL thing? I’d love to see what sort of effect, if any, the release had on his ratings, or on whether or not the Republican numbers on “Is Obama a US citizen?” have changed.
I’d be interested in seeing the results post-Sunday, too, but that’s a different thread.

With all the frivilous lawsuits this ridiculous woman has filed, she is costing the tax payers way too much money. Is that grounds for deportation? It’s not like she is a citizen.

I think Trig’s doctor altered the birth certificate.
I think she is a naturalized citizen Zzzzz. But also, as you see, she comes with all the anger many have who were brought up under the Soviet system of falsifying so much and telling the people it was good for them. It is far safer here to do what she is doing, than ‘back home’ even now. My own sense is that she is railing at her own first nation’s government. I sense she would not have the same freedom there to insist on whatever, that she has here
You are correct, dr.e., Mrs. Taitz is a naturalized U.S. citizen, born in Moldavia, former Soviet Union, now Moldova.
After emigrating to Israel, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1987.
I agree with you that she may be overcompensating for the freedoms she lacked in the Soviet Union. Had she launched a similar campaign against Soviet politcos she probably would still be in Gulag.
The fact that she can do what she is doing here in the U.S. with impunity,albeit with some ridicule, speaks volumes of the liberties we enjoy—and sometimes abuse.
It’s true, Trump emigrated from Queens to Manhattan and never lost his #7 train upbringing.
