A quick note for longtime as well as new readers:
–The people who post on this site may differ on issues. We get emails all the time from readers upset because so and so is too far left or right — or that TMV himself is wishy washy, or secretly collecting checks from Karl Rove and/or Howard Dean. If you look at polls there is no 100 percent agreement among moderates on anything, just as there isn’t 100 percent agreement among any group in any poll. This site is not run like an intellectual dictatorship but more like a Hometown Buffet of moderate perspectives.
–A lot of news is happening. If on a given day you scroll down and don’t see the previous day’s posts, you might want to check to archives because it might mean posts done earlier in the day automatically went there due to the automated page set up.
–We encourage readers to comment on stories. Some use it as their own mini-blog. And we encourage readers to read the comments because you might find something that adds to or makes more sense than the actual post!
