Hillary, The New Website

WASINGTON –, the 2008 site, now directs people to “Click here to reach the office of Hillary Clinton.”

The second run to become the first female president in U.S. history… awaits.

At least many hope so.

It’s not a coronation.

As I’ve written before, many a Democratic man people have voted for had fewer credentials and a resume of less heft than Hillary Rodham Clinton. These same men didn’t have perfect policy prescriptions that the people who voted for them agreed with completely either. These same men were also not the perfect liberal.

Hillary Rodham Clinton shouldn’t be held to standards that most Democratic males in the modern era haven’t been able to meet when running for the nomination.

Personally speaking, there is simply nothing more important to me than electing a female president of the United States, which I happen to believe Hillary Clinton is poised to be, if she chooses. Clinton has said that if you believe you can make a difference you have an obligation to serve. However, as far as I’m concerned Hillary Rodham Clinton has already served her country to her fullest. So, if by some chance she opts out, she’s certainly already done her share.

However, there is a lot more that needs to be done and what Hillary could do as president seems limitless, especially where women are concerned, especially across the world. She just might be able to help inspire people in states across this country to also rise up against right wing legislatures who are cobbling away women’s freedoms in state after state.

We just finished the century of the American male.

The 21st century is poised to be the century of the female, in which the United States should lead. This requires a Democratic female president who understands that human rights are women’s rights and that women deserve to be as free as men. When applied across the globe the potential this philosophy in foreign policy and economic outreach could have holds the hope of literally shifting the world to a path never witnessed in human history. As innumerable studies have shown, a developing nation cannot thrive and stabilize if half its population, the women, are not empowered in every way.

This world evolution of empowering women won’t happen overnight, but there is no doubt that Clinton could take it to another level. She began this work as President Obama’s Secretary of State, which is her resounding legacy there.

The 2008 website link and re-direct was bound to happen. Now we wait and see what comes next.

And, oh, don’t you just love Hillary’s grin?
