As Joe reported earlier today, TMV has been nominated for “Best Centrist Blog” for this year’s Weblog Awards, which is of course a great honor: for Joe but also for us co-bloggers.
However, I would like to pay some attention to one specific blog, nominated in a different category: Ed Morrissey’s Captain’s Quarters (category: Best Conservative Blog). Of course, most nominated blogs are terrific, but, to be honest, I think that Ed is the best conservative blogger.
Whether or not one always agrees with a specific blogger is not that important. What’s more important is whether or not a blogger takes the time to explain his or her position carefully and whether or not he or she is reasonable.
Voting starts tomorrow, I encourage all of you to vote for Ed.
Also, take a look at the other categories. As Ed pointed out in his post about this:
Most of all, take the opportunity to check out a few blogs you may have missed along the way — that’s the best part of these awards!
I am getting a little bit European here, but also pay some attention to the “Best European Blog” category. There are some great European bloggers that deserve a lot of credit for what they are doing. One my favorites in this particular category is “The Right Nation”. No Pasaran is good as well, as is The Brussels Journal.
