Oh, please mommy, mommy, can’t you make that man with the big hair and a mouth bigger than his big hair go away? Oh, please mommy? Make him go away, make him go AWAY!!
Yes, you can almost hear people of all ages, sexes, political and sexual orientations, and ideologies (well, maybe not a segment of one) coming together in a historical bond of national unity, uttering or thinking of these very words when they see there’s another news story involving a grandstanding Donald Trump.
And, yes, Trump is suing Bill Maher for a joke-bet Maher stated on his show. Maybe this could start a trend? I can recall several people who said, “I’d bet you a million, you’re wrong” — and (AHA!) I was right! Donald: can I borrow your attorney (but your attorney does seem busy so I’ll have to get one under my $15 a month legal plan which will probably bring me the same verdict as yours will).
Our quote of the day comes from Ann Althouse.
This lawsuit news is, of course, Trump, once again, hogging — orangutanning — the media spotlight. Fine. I don’t care. But to actually file a lawsuit is: 1. An offense against free speech, and 2. An irresponsible appropriation of the public wealth that will be consumed processing the lawsuit.
“I don’t think he was joking. He said it with venom. That was venom. That wasn’t a joke. In fact, he was nervous when he said it. It was a pathetic delivery,” Trump said on Fox News.
Speaking of pathetic… go away, Donald. And take your hair with you when you leave.
May I use a word I try to avoid (except when I don’t)?
DITTO..
