A U.S. Army website tweeted “Trump Lies Once Every 3 Minutes, 15 Seconds,” but the tweet “was swiftly taken down from the Army’s Twitter page,” according to Military.com, after it “had already circulated on social media, including on a Facebook page called “U.S Army W.T.F! Moments”
The U.S. Army apologized “for any confusion this may have caused our followers…”
It was not clear whether the confusion the Army is apologizing for, is for a service member expressing a political opinion at an official Army site or for the fact that the statistic is based on too short of a survey period — one week.
Trump lying once every 3 minutes, 15 seconds, may not be totally statistically accurate, but it demonstrates a fact very well.
