    Susan Pinocchio.

  • I am partial to the idea that history is written over time. So let time pass.

But Susan Rice has a history of undermining her own credibility (leaving aside her comments about Rwandan Genocide).

    Next stop?

My guess is a faculty or administrative lounge at Smith or Kenyon colleges.

Maybe Stanford? They took Condi Rice.

Yes, Ms. Rice has a history of telling whoppers as big as Cheney, Rove, and Limbaugh’s; and those whoppers have caused as much mischief, if not more, no doubt about it. And I don’t want to hear about false equivalency.

Now we have her saying that she was wrong even when she was right! Can you impeach a National Security Advisor? And if not, why not?

” Can you impeach a National Security Advisor? And if not, why not?”

    Too funny T-O. 🙂

DOD echoes Rice’s statements — in part:

Statement by Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby:

“The Department of Defense does not comment on discussions that
Sergeant Bergdahl is having with the professionals who are providing him
medical and reintegration care. We will respect that process in all regards.

“As we have noted, the Army will conduct a comprehensive review to learn the circumstances of Sergeant Bergdahl’s disappearance and captivity. That process, too, needs to be respected.

“Our focus remains on providing him with the care he needs.”

  • I don’t think there is any question that the men needs a lot of care. No matter how he got to the Taliban he ended up a POW (my view) and lived part of the time in cage after attempting to escape. I have tried to imagine how tough that would be on anyone and I can’t successfully do it.

  • The_Ohioan, I didn’t mean to compare the Rice’s other than to imply that neither should be in politics (nothing to do with gender or color).

Being President of a University is no slouch job!

And you get to sleep in on Sundays.

  • To add … I shouldn’t have included the C. Rice in a post with _any_ discussion of Susan Rice. I know how irritating that is to all of us. My apologies.

‘Salright. This article is about Susan Rice and she’s the one I was referencing, which I think everyone understands (they’re used to my snark by now). Since comments are posted while others are also posting, it does sometimes affects the second comment’s meaning.

A different thread with comparisons would be interesting since both women have such similar backgrounds.

  • Thanks. I appreciate the humerous snark.

    I get you 😉

“Sportin” has a remarkable story and is hu .. HU .. HUGE in my view.

I just think she would be happier and more effective doing something else.

This is no joke, I was expecting a Saturday Night Live skit (I think Maya Rudolph could do a perfect SR) but it was rerun last night.

  • The_Ohioan

Maybe Colbert or Stewart? Surely someone sees the irony as well as you.

Daily Kos has an article about all the Republicans tweets about our honorable soldier – which have all been deleted. Ah, the vicissitudes of life. 🙂
