Now we have proof that you can’t foll people all of the time. This poll:
A majority of American adults thinks President Trump has little or no respect for the democratic traditions in the U.S., according to a new poll.
The Associated Press/NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll finds 65 percent of respondents think the president has little or no respect for the country’s democratic institutions or traditions.
Only 34 percent of Americans think Trump has a great deal or a fair amount of respect for them.
His job approval rating is barely much better:
The poll also finds that 64 percent of Americans don’t approve of the job Trump is doing a president, compared to just 35 percent who approve of the president’s job performance.
And how’s he doing on his key issues?
Sixty-six percent of Americans disapprove of the way Trump is handling the issue of healthcare. And 64 percent disapprove of the way Trump is dealing with climate change.
Majorities of Americans also disapprove of the way the president is handling the issues of foreign policy, immigration and the economy.
Sixty-five percent of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track, according to the poll.
These polls are still unlikely to move most GOPers in Congress from breaking from him or putting real distance between them and him. This is still a big enough chunk of the GOP so that they’ll fear being primaried. Just let it go down a lot more.
Which could happen.
