A few announcements about this site:
YOU HAVE TO REGISTER NOW FOR COMMENTS: See buttons in upper right hand corner, on yellow edge of this page. If you need more info, read THIS POST. It’s not to censor viewpoints. It’s to prevent spam and spam from blocking off viewpoints.
IF YOU HAVE SITE PROBLEMS: Notice that there is now an email address on the upper right so you can let us know.
OUR REVAMP IS NOT FINISHED YET: We about 99.99 percent done with an incredible upgrade of this site, adding some new features — then moving it all from Powerlbogs and converting everything from proprietary Powerblogs software to WordPress. Our final step later on will be to give a talented co-blogger the green light to make some specific design changes in TMV’s “look.’
YES WE ARE CONSIDERING THE ‘READ MORE” OPTION: Many weblogs are using the “Read More” or “Continue reading this post” option which displays part of it, and you click to read more. Due to the large number of posts of long length on TMV, it’s likely we’ll move to that, too. Several readers and several cobloggers have urged it. I battled it. I have now concluded that I was wrong.
ONE MORE THING ABOUT THE MOVE: We’ve moved TMV now from Blogspot to Typepad To Powerblogs and now to WordPress. Each time there was a drop in hits for the first few months, as people readjusted their news feeds, etc. The transition usually took three to four months to be back to “normal” (the previous readership). If you like TMV do spread the word to others (and if you don’t, keep it to yourself!). Our goal is to build the strongest possible centrist voice (with all of many voices that fall within that category) on the Internet. If you’re new to this site, we link to a variety of viewpoints and make a special effort to link to and help nurture weblogs written by independent thinkers and/or centrists.
MY OWN POSTS WILL BE ERRATIC DURING THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS due to several family emergencies and some travel days in which it will be impossible to post. But I will be posting (on a limited basis) and our cobloggers will have a lot to say.
MY PROMISED REVIEWS MAY BE LATE due to the emergencies above. But we’ll be trying to do a CD review and DVD review this week no matter what.
