Love her or not — and I’m in the “not” category, most of the time — Speaker Pelosi’s legislative maneuvering on the House health care bill was impressive. See the second item at First Read, h/t Ben Smith.

Agreed, Pelosi did a great job in doing what she needed to get the votes she needed, kudos to her in not allowing her own ideology blinding her to reality. I wish she had done so and caved to the Progressive wing of her party and thus killed the bill, but she was smarter than that.

She saved her and the House's reputation, at least for now. Both have poor reputations, but at least they got legislation passed and the organization (Dems = the House) got going and organized again.
It now throws attention and criticism on the Senate (and on Harry Reid, again).

Harry Reid... (groan)

Watch Out!
Speaker Pelosi will gut you like a fresh caught cod fish should you step out of line. Republicans aren’t laughing at her anymore. They are scared crapless of her! Their nervous attacks on her prove it.
Maybe she could be loaned out to the Senate for awhile. I smell blue dog blood.
