THIS JUST IN! Obama’s Kenyan Birth Certificate (OOPS! Wait a minute …) »
Writing for The Daily Beast, John Avlon argues that the Blue Dogs and their counterparts in the Senate are “Obama’s best friends.”
Attacked as villains by liberals and accused of slowing down the legislation’s passage, they are the unsung heroes of health-care reform. They are not trying to kill Obama’s initiative; they are trying to save it.

Since you're repeating yourself, I'd like to also repeat myself.
Until recently, you were complaining that Republicans weren't pushing anything, even though they have some kind of alternative available. Democrats weren't going to get to stop the war, let alone defund it, but some were visibly out there, pushing alternatives.
Republicans aren't doing anything but obstructing health care reform.
George, buying more of the same is not reform. We need reform. Where is it?
GS- I'm repeating myself because you keep asking the same questions, or variations of them.
Yes, I'm frustrated that the GOP isn't out there pushing a better alternative, but I recognize the political realities (just as I've come to realize that that's how many Dems must have felt when they wanted the Iraq war to be brought to a close but they didn't have the power to do it.)
Is that really hard to understand?
Dr J–
I get it. You don't like the reforms being worked on.
Thanks.

I don't buy it.
And I think you're gonna find it a pretty hard sell.
