The commemoration of the tenth anniversary has become the world’s largest blog essay contest, and, while I cannot hope to succeed in such an outpouring of virtual (and actual) ink, I will say this:

I was against the war in Iraq from before the beginning, and I have always been against Guantanimo detention, “extraordinary rendition” and the sick spectacle of Bush and Cheney bragging about their war crimes, but this is not the time nor place to elaborate.
Maybe we can find our way back to being the nation we were before 9-11.
I sure as hell hope so.
