UPDATE II:
Readers who wanted to enjoy listening to Obama sing “Let’s Stay Toghether” in Romney’s attack ad below will be disappointed.
Apparently the Romney campaign has run into a copyright problem with BMG_Rights_Management, according to the Huffington Post.
Readers who try to watch Obama sing (and Romney’s allegations) are greeted with a message that says “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by BMG_Rights_Management.”
The Romney campaign claims they did no wrong.
Sorry.
However, as mentioned below, the Romney campaign is probably already preparing a slew of Chicago musicals to entertain the voters.
===
UPDATE I:
Reporting on the latest musical version of Romney attacks on Obama, accusing the President of caring more about his donors than about the middle class, the New York Times warns that it is going to get worse and nastier.
After quoting Romney’s senior adviser Kevin Madden complaining about the direction of the discussion from the president’s campaign and saying that the American public wants to talk about the issues, the Times quotes Romney’s Ed Gillespie saying that the Romney campaign will in the next few days, call out Obama’s “Chicago-style politics and Chicago-style economics.’’
That will surely elevate the tone of the campaign and there are plenty of songs about Chicago to set that theme to music.
Stay tuned.

The war of words — and TV ads — between the two presidential candidates is getting quite nasty with, most recently, the Obama camp accusing Romney of obfuscating his Bain record and the Romney camp accusing Obama of lying, etc., etc.
Now the two camps are turning to songs and music to bash each other.
A few days ago the Obama campaign featured an ad with Romney singing “America the Beautiful,” featuring news clips spotlighting Romney’s history at Bain Capital, a company that allegedly shipped American jobs overseas.
Now the Romney campaign has responded with an ad featuring Obama singing “So In Love With You” complete with allegations that Obama has ignored the middle class and that, instead of working to restore their economic security, he is too busy rewarding his biggest donors.
Will we ever see an ad with the two candidates joining each other in singing “This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is [Our] Land” without dark, sinister images in the background, without false and malicious script plastered all over?
Probably not.
