Vladimir Putin to Barack Obama –Russia will not extradite Edward Snowden
BREAKING: Well, President Obama just got another kick in the gut from Russia. President Vladimir Putin says NSA leaker Edward Snowden won’t be turned over to the U.S. government since he didn’t break any laws in Russia. He said Snowden was in the transit area at a Moscow airport. He also said any accusations of Russia related to Snowden are ‘nonsense.’
Speaking to journalists in Finland, Putin said that there is no extradition treaty between Russia and the US. He also said that Snowden did not commit any crime on the territory of Russia.
“Snowden is a free person. The sooner he chooses his final destination, the better it is for him and Russia,” Putin said.
He also expressed hope that the Snowden saga would not have any effect on business relations between Russia and the US. Source: Russia Today
