Yet another example of how partisans have to turn everything they can into something personal with those with whom they disagree.
And. Oh. Let’s clear something up right now. It isn’t just “the left” that finds this kind of reaction something that undermines someone’s credibility, it’s many independent voters. I’ve met a lot of people in my coast to coast car trip since Sept (I’m on the final four weeks now) who are absolutely turned off by this. Republicans and independents.
Yes, this kind of garbage gets a following and can get someone publicity, hits, audience.
But it is reprehensible and limits people to only their own choir. Others won’t even listen since the song is so offkey and sour. And then the conclusion is reached that any further songs aren’t worthy of even a listen.
FOOTNOTE: The sad thing is that there are thoughtful conservatives who can debate issues passionately, even angrily, but seriously without this kind of bilge. Why is this question in this Tweet even posed? Even a head of lettuce knows why: to try and tear down and diss someone who doesn’t see things the same way. It isn’t journalistic curiosity. And, if it is, then why aren’t similar Tweets going out the same way every time a celebrity, politician or child of a politician gets married?
The head of lettuce knows that, too.
