BREAKING NEWS:  The Heritage Foundation announced the resignation of senior policy analyst Jason Richwine, co-author of controversial immigration report that was very critical of the Senate’s immigration reform plan, saying it would cost trillions.

Jason Richwine came under fire after it was discovered he argued in his Harvard dissertation that there was a “long-standing difference between the IQ of white Americans and immigrants,” Politico reports.

The Heritage Foundation said: “Jason Richwine let us know he’s decided to resign from his position. He’s no longer employed by Heritage. It is our long-standing policy not to discuss internal personnel matters.”

On a personal note, my family and I migrated to the U.S. from Jamaica eons ago and I am insulted by Jason Richwine’s argument about immigrants and their IQ. While Jamaica continues to grapple with economic woes, the color of one’s skin was never an issue under any circumstance. I grew up with the mindset that I am limited by my capabilities, not by the color of my skin. To echo Slate, it’s a sad commentary that no-one at the Heritage Foundation bothered to even read Mr. Richwine’s dissertation. The Republican Party have people like Jason Richwine to thank for its unpopularity with Hispanic and black voters.
