Former vice president Dick Cheney told ABC News it was a mistake for Sen. John McCain to have picked Sarah Palin as a running mate four years ago. Um, it was also a mistake for George W. Bush to have picked him as a running mate as well. He said he has given Mitt Romney advice, though he won’t say what that advice is.
“That one,” Cheney said, “I don’t think was well handled.”
“The test to get on that small list has to be, ‘Is this person capable of being president of the United States?’”
Cheney believes Sarah Palin failed that test.
“I like Governor Palin. I’ve met her. I know her. She – attractive candidate. But based on her background, she’d only been governor for, what, two years. I don’t think she passed that test…of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake.” Source: ABC News
Dick Cheney is certainly has a lot of nerve. He seems to think people have forgotten that the bottom of the economic bucket fell out under his and President Bush’s watch. Can you say waterboarding?
