Word just in that former Congressman Tom DeLay (R) is guilty of money laundering and conspiracy to money launder.
He could face up to seven years in prison on the charges.
Personally I always felt he was probably guilty and the jury seems to have agreed.
However, I am sure there will be lots of partisan reaction to this, which is sort of sad. Some on the left will likely paint all Republicans with this while others on the right will declare it a farce or partisan conviction. And of course if it were a Democrat being convicted the roles would be reversed.
Can’t we just agree that both guilt and innocence are bipartisan (or multipartisan if you prefer)
