Extra attention to a few Centrist blogs.
Alexander Paul Melonas writes at the Gun Toting Liberal that peace activists are gathering in Washington D.C. to protest the war in Iraq. Alexander: “I am fortunate to currently reside within Washington D.C., and as I am firm in my beliefs that the Iraq Civil War is resultant from the single most ill-advised, poorly operated and criminally negligent foreign policy decisions in United States history, my anti-war flag will wave proudly this Saturday afternoon.”
Libby Spencer at the Impolitic believes she understands why the Bush administration suddenly decided to submit “the illegal domestic eavesdropping program to overview by the FISA court.” They were about to “lose in court” and the way the Bush administration is handling this controversy / the law suit.
The always hilarious Jon Swift on the knee jerk reaction of the Democratic Party whenever U.S. President George W. Bush suggests something.
Michael J. Totten on the situation in Lebanon: Nasrallah has lost control over the situation… a situation he created himself. It is quite irrelevant, right now, whether Nasrallah wants a full blown civil war or not: if his supporters take matters into their own hands, it is because of Nasrallah; it is because of his policies, it is because of his actions, it is because of his hate filled propaganda. Whether he likes it or not, if full blown civil war will break out, he is the main cause of it.
That’s what happens if you’re determined to topple a democratically elected government.
David Adesnik on John Kerry.
P.S.
I apologize for not being able to do “Center of Attention” for a couple of days in a row. My excuse? Exams.
