The American humorist Will Rogers said, “I’m not a member of any organized political party…I’m a Democrat.” Although Rogers said that in 1932, his observation about the state of the Democratic Party is applicable today. That’s because the Democratic Party is in disarray.
Democrat film maker Michael Moore certainly thinks so, as evident by the following tweet of his.
Congressional Democrats are also lamenting the current state of their party.
From The Hill:
The Hill goes on to quote Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) as saying, “We need to have a plan, we need to have a vision, we need to tell Americans why Democrats will be better, not just why Trump is bad. And I don’t think we’re doing enough of that, and I think that’s evident in this [Georgia] race.”
CNN quotes Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) as saying, “We [Democrats] need a vision — where are we going? And we need a message — how are we going to get there? We don’t have either one of those.”
In a commentary published 05/01/17, Democrat political analyst Juan Williams writes, “Voters may not like Trump, but Democrats have yet to come up with a positive alternative vision.”
In its current state, the Democratic Party reminds me of a chicken running around without its head.
Who would want to vote to put that in charge of the nation?
The “Wanted” posters say the following about David: “Wanted: A refugee from planet Melmac masquerading as a human. Loves cats. If seen, contact the Alien Task Force.”
