Am left with a question as to whether children of well known people should be spotlighted in the news, simply because of their parent’s status? I lean towards not…

I lean toward not as well, but we live in a culture where celebrity is king – often to our detriment.

Ditto. Who didn’t get underage drunk and disorderly at one point? Not that we should be promoting that, but still, we need to be able to make our mistakes early so we get wiser faster. Otherwise we’ll just have to make them when we are older and should know better.

EDIT – Sorry I didn’t read the article clearly. I thought he was disorderly at the airport, but apparently it was on the plane. We shouldn’t hammer on him extra hard because his father is famous, but anyone that can’t control themselves on a passenger flight should get the book thrown at them.

The plane part makes it far worse and although celebrity kids get more publicity, they also sometimes get “breaks” that the not so famous don’t get.

Agree also. Is his behavior supposed to reflect on his dad’s political views or what??? While I think his behavior should be dealt with harshly because of where he was when he lost control, beyond that it isn’t newsworthy.
